Doctor Who 6.03
This year I got the chance to work on Doctor Who for the first time. I was asked to shoot Episode 3 for Director Jeremy Webb who I'd previously worked with on many Merlin Episodes. The geek in me couldn't resist the chance to shoot Doctor Who. I was a long time fan and adored the Tom Baker episodes when I was a child. I thought I'd have the chance to do a really sci-fi shoot at long last but I read the script and it was on a pirate ship! 3 nights in winter in Cornwall later followed by an exhausting but exhilarating shoot in the studio and we had a rollicking yarn that is "The Curse of the Black Spot". Great fun to make.
...Oh and stepping through the Tardis doors for the first time is not something I'll forget in a hurry.
