Direction

From time to time I direct music promos and shorts and sometimes create animations and title sequences for clients.

Here's a non-broadcast clip I directed, shot and edited for Phlame (London) and Unilever. Designed to encourage employees to stop using VHS cassettes in their in house communications, and get online. Many thanks of course to the terrific spoofs of Peter Serafinowicz lampooning early 80s documentaries for the style of this clip.

Below is the music video I directed, produced, shot, composited and edited for the band Aerial in 2007. A pretty song that I chose to interpret in a pining, bittersweet way. Shot on the Panasonic HD Varicam at 50FPS against greenscreen. Built in After Effects at 32bit

Next up, a title sequence created for C4 Music Televsion in New Zealand. Elements drawn in Illustrator and composited in After Effects.

"Swing It" by Mister Boinkin. This is a Music Promo I created in 2007 for a great bunch of guys. They wanted to take the piss out of the classic "dirty Hos" videos and laugh at themselves at the same time. Hence the 'bangin' chorus setup.

Here's a title sequence I directed and animated for Greenstone Pictures in New Zealand.

The TV show was a family/kids superhero show where a young boy finds an alien artifact that gives him power, not knowing that his father previously used the power to fight crime. The title sequence is designed to give you the backstory for the father in a classic comic form.
