During Season 2, The show was able to explore the relationship between young Prince Arthur (Bradley James) and maid-servant Guinevere (Angel Coulby). This scene is one of my favourites, where as DP I was able to suggest shooting their kiss at 50 FPS while shooting in profile against the windows. Beyond the windows I had a 5Kw lamp placed to point straight at the camera and we removed the wall from the set so that I could get further back from the actors. It was one of those shots that no one on set could really grasp, particularly since they couldn't see anything on the monitors. A shot a DP knows will work by the numbers and experience, and very satisfying to see used for so long in the final cut.
